Our customers have asked for it...and we developed it!! A brand new solution for community radio stations seeking a basic, but affordable radio automation software package. The VorbimizerTM for Windows® XP, is a basic play list automation suite for the Ogg Vorbis file format. **see note at bottom
This software is nearing completion and should be out within the next few weeks. Please keep a check back here as a new website will also be located here!!

While many may see it as a downside, you will find out that the Ogg Vorbis file format is an excellent format to put your music, commercials, and jingles into. This program works solely with that format. Please see the note at the bottom of the page explaining why this program was developed strictly for Ogg Vorbis.A demo version will be available here when the product becomes available. To be notified when it is ready, please send an email to this address. You will not receive any other email besides a product notification when it is ready.
While this software is still in the development stage, below are some of the features that you can expect from the new automation product:
Supports Ogg Vorbis sound file format**
All events have a "Run Now" override button that will launch the scheduled event immediately from the main screen. This gives the program a Live Assist feature that you can use without using the automation engine!
A digital display at the top of the main screen gives you current song information and the time for your reference.
The automation engine can be shut off and on in real time if you decide to go live, while leaving the settings all intact when you cut it back on!
Jingle rotation control plays a random Jingle from the user specified list, however often that you like, either immediately, or cue till after the current playing song.
Logging creates a daily log that shows every song that played, along with the time that it played. Also, jingles are labeled "JINGLE" next to the entry to let you know that particular song came from the Jingle Rotation Control.
The Jingle Rotation Control shows exactly what time the next jingle is scheduled to launch. You can even override it and launch it immediately, then the jingle control will advance to the next time slot that is scheduled automatically!
Setting up is easy with intelligent entry fields. The Jingle Rotation Control screen asks you to fill in some simple answers to tell the program how to handle the jingles, by filling in the first letter or so, it will complete it for you.
You control your computer's volume control from the main screen and can see what level it is at any time.
You can create your VorbimizerTM play lists with the included PlayList Editor, which is accessible from the main screen.
You can view any of your daily logs directly from the main screen within the Log Viewer Display. You can even print the logs from there!
A backup list function is available which will automatically load another list when the first list runs out, unless the repeat function is activated. You can even save the backup list to recall it with the click of one button!
Included with the main program is a large, on-screen clock that gives you the time (24 hour format), day, and date. Most would use this during live assist or any time that you needed to see what time it is. This is launched separately from the main program, so you can use it without the automation program.
**.mp3 format is not a "free" format as many may think. The owners of the patent require a minimum of $15,000 per year, plus .75 per unit sold. As much as I understand protecting your patent, this is tough on the small developer that would not even be able to cover the minimum royalties. Therefore, Ogg Vorbis is the primary audio compression format supported by this product. Ogg is a free compression format that sounds as good, if not better than .mp3. Please visit the Ogg Vorbis website to learn more. Encoders and decoders are available all over the Internet. If you plan to purchase this product when it becomes available, I would recommend that you begin studying into converting your files. However, always make backups when altering your files!
